‘Ninja Heron’ never fails to impress
Another one of my favourite birds to photograph is the great blue heron, the largest member of the heron family. There are six or seven species of the herons that visit us regularly here in the Kawarthas but the great blue heron is the most common one to see. Pretty much every body of water has one or more great blue herons that either resides there or visits it, especially if it supports a good fish population. Great blue herons are masters at catching fish.
