UP Scholarship 2026-27: Apply from today, check Class 9 to 12 deadlines

UP Scholarship 2026-27 registration has opened for Class 9 to 12 students at scholarship.up.gov.in. Fresh and renewal applicants have separate deadlines, with scholarship payments scheduled between October 2026 and January 2027.

The Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Department has opened registration for the UP Scholarship 2026-27 scheme for Class 9 to 12 students from today, August 11, 2026. Students who are eligible can submit their applications through the official scholarship portal at scholarship.up.gov.in.

The schedule covers fresh applicants and students renewing an existing scholarship. Separate timelines have been issued for Class 9 to 12 students and for those studying graduation, post-graduation, diploma, ITI and other courses after Class 12. The dates were notified through two government orders issued by the Social Welfare Department on July 20, 2026.

UP scholarship 2026-27 registration starts today

Students studying in Classes 9, 10, 11 and 12 can now begin the application process.

For renewal students in Classes 10 and 12, registration starts on August 11 and closes on August 25, 2026. These are students who already received the scholarship earlier and are continuing under the scheme.

Fresh applicants in Classes 9 and 11 get a longer registration window. Their applications can be submitted between August 11 and September 21, 2026.

The difference in deadlines matters. Renewal students have just about two weeks to complete the process, making their application window much shorter.

Students should check which category applies to them before filling out the form. A student applying for the scholarship for the first time should follow the fresh application schedule. Existing beneficiaries should use the renewal option.
