‘Flydubai incident being treated as terror attack’: Israeli officials say major disaster averted

The Flydubai aircraft Flight FZ1073, was flying from Dubai to Tel Aviv with around 180 passengers. Of the total passengers, 100 were reportedly Israeli nationals. Midway the plane triggered the international transponder squawk code 7500. This code indicates a possible hijacking or unlawful interference.

New Delhi: The details around the Flydubai flight incident remain sketchy even as the plane managed to land safely after being diverted to Saudi Arabia. Passengers reported hearing screams and then seeing a man with stab wounds stumble out of the cockpit. Reportedly there was a fight between 2 pilots and one of them stabbed the other.

Now, the Israeli authorities are saying that they are treating the incident onboard Flight FZ1073 as a terror attack. According to reports in the Israeli media, the decision to treat the attempted hijacking as a terror plot was taken based on passengers testimony and also security........
