The majority of Canadians, in a number of national polls, support Canada imposing counter-tariffs as the Americans impose tariffs on Canadian goods.

No doubt Trump started it, but remember when you were little, and your mother told you not to hit your sister? “She started it,” you said.

“Well, you finish it,” was likely her reply. In other words, more fighting won’t help anyone.

Canadian counter-tariffs are set to start Sept. 8th, and it’s a lose/lose.

American consumers lose, and Canadian consumers lose.
