How to watch every Team USA match in the FIFA World Cup

(NewsNation) — Anticipation is building in the United States for the start of the 2026 World Cup, as the nation gets ready to host the global soccer tournament for the first time since 1994.

This year’s tournament, which kicks off Thursday with two matches in Mexico, will be the largest in history. A total of 48 teams will compete in 104 matches across 16 stadiums in the United States, Canada and Mexico. It will run from June 11 to July 19.

Team USA’s manager, Mauricio Pochettino, will look to Christian Pulisic, Folarin Balogun, Weston McKennie and others to get the U.S. its first World Cup knockout win since 2002, NewsNation local affiliate WCMH reported. The team will get its first chance to prove itself against Paraguay on Friday.

The tournament officially starts Thursday with an opening match between Mexico and South Africa at 2:00 p.m., followed by South Korea taking on the Czech Republic at 7:00 p.m.
