EastEnders has confirmed that an iconic character will be returning to the BBC soap this year.

Sam Mitchell will be coming back to Walford after leaving the square two years ago in 2023 to move to Spain.

The character has been off-screen since 2016 and was originally played by Danniella Westbrook.

However, actor Kim Medcalf will be playing Sam for her short stint return on EastEnders.
