Re: ‘I’m waiting on a miracle,’ May 30

The column written by Colin MacLean revealed a woman was in peril for trying to disengage from a nasty relationship and had no options but to throw her distress to The Guardian and hope for a healer.

It is not my intention to rehash her plight. It seems her misery could be alleviated by providing public housing but there is one flaw in the plan. Her dog weighed in at 42 pounds but the cut off point for a dog in public housing is 25 pounds. The weight of her........
