I have read your latest article on the cancellation of the Active Transportation Fund (Advocates concerned as P.E.I. ends fund that helped create safer places to walk and bike, July 8). Over a period of six years, this fund has supported numerous projects worth more than $23.5 million in improving conditions for walking and cycling in Prince Edward Island from bike racks installed in schools to the new boardwalk in North Rustico. The fund is now cancelled, and the application portal is not accessible anymore. In my opinion, the government must restore this fund because of the following three reasons.
