Norwood Lions Club installs new executive at fiscal year-end meeting
The Norwood Lions Club wrapped up its fiscal year recently with a traditional dinner meeting and the installation of the incoming slate of new officers.
Following greetings, regular introductions, O Canada, toasts and the Lions grace, members enjoyed a hearty meal. As is the established custom no one attending a Lions’ dinner should leave hungry as there is always plenty of good food to go around.
The installation of the club’s new executive took place before the evening concluded with a general business meeting. The installation is a unique ceremonial undertaking as each new officer is brought forward and instructed in their duties before pledging to undertake the role to best of their abilities. The Norwood Lions slate of officers for their new year includes president: Rick Serrao, past president: Dave Barry, 1st vice-president: Kevin Hickey, 2nd vice-president: Andrew Greaves, 3rd vice-president: Terry Low, co-secretaries: Jack Begg and Rodger Bonneau, treasurer: Dave Gilbert, membership chairs: Kevin Hickey and Barry Patterson, Lion Tamers: Vern Stockdale and Harold Tibbits, LCIF Contact: Doug White, Tail Twisters: Harold Tibbits and Amy Cutmore, 1 year directors: Karen Knee and Doug Pearcy, 2-year director: Scott Stewart and communications officers: Barry Patterson and Barry Walsh.
The club expresses its appreciation to all........
