Don’t impose a new NYC ‘delivery tax’

New Yorkers are already paying more for groceries, rent and everyday goods. We have watched our bills climb and learned to make due with less and less. Now there is another potential cost we need to worry about: a “delivery tax” that could cost you $600 a year on the things you order online.

Think about tariffs. When the cost of bringing goods into this country goes up, somebody pays for it. Sometimes a business absorbs the increase, but most often, the customer does. The same could happen with online orders. It’s all because of a looming new NYC law that could make delivery much more expensive for companies like Amazon and FedEx, and in turn, raise costs for everyday customers too.
