The total population of Norfolk stood at an estimated 945,427 people in mid-2025, up 4,959 from the 940,468 figure 12 months previously, according to new figures released by the Office for National Statistics.

The fastest growing of the county's seven districts is South Norfolk, which saw a 1.4pc increase in population, up from 148,384 to 150,296 - a rise of 2,012.

But Norwich saw its population drop by 1,443, down from 147,119 to 145,676.
