October's literary programme covers everything from bestselling fiction and nature writing to poetry, community storytelling and family events, making it one of the most varied months of the year for Norfolk readers.

The county's literary calendar includes the launch of the rebranded King's Lynn Book Festival, the return of Norwich Book Festival and appearances from authors including Louis de Bernières, Mark Cocker and James Mayhew.

There are also opportunities to try creative writing, hear live poetry and take part in community projects inspired by the River Wensum.
