‘Major intelligence and operational failure’: Israeli ambassador on October 7 attack

Speaking to News9 Managing Editor Kartikeya Sharma, Israeli Ambassador to India Reuven Azar said that the incident was a major intelligence and operational failure. He added that immediate steps were taken to prevent a similar kind of incident in the future.

New Delhi: Three years since the deadly attack in which thousands of Israeli citizens were killed and several others were abducted, Israel has drawn major lessons from the incident. On October 7, 2023, around 1,200 people were killed, and nearly 251 people were taken hostage after Palestine’s Hamas group launched an attack in Gaza.
