Vande Bharat crosses Chenab and Anji bridges at 100 km/h as Ashwini Vaishnaw shares video

A Vande Bharat Express crossed two of India’s most prominent railway bridges at 100 km/h on Thursday after the maximum permissible speed on the Katra-Banihal railway section was raised. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared a video of the run on X, writing, “100 km/h over India’s engineering pride!”

The maximum permitted speed on the 111-kilometre Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Banihal section has now been increased from 75 km/h to 100 km/h. The higher speed was tested on October 2 using Vande Bharat Express Train No.........
