GSMA meets PM Modi ahead of India Mobile Congress, talks AI, 6G and cyber fraud

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met members of the Global System for Mobile Communications Association, or GSMA, board in New Delhi on October 6, ahead of the India Mobile Congress. The discussion focused on digital access, cyber fraud, artificial intelligence, 6G and the role India could play in shaping future global technology standards.

PM Modi told the GSMA representatives that technology should support inclusive and sustainable development. He stressed the need to make digital services affordable and accessible, especially for developing countries and the Global South, where gaps in connectivity and access can still be significant.
