Counter-Strike 2 quietly adds pet chickens you can hatch, feed and collect

Counter-Strike 2 players have discovered a surprise pet chicken system in weekly rewards. Valve has not yet explained drop rates, rarity or the complete progression rules.

Counter-Strike 2 has quietly added collectable pet chickens that players can hatch and raise. Players began finding Chicken Eggs in their Weekly Drops after the September 22 update, according to reports from Dexerto and other gaming outlets.

The egg takes both available reward slots when selected. It then appears beside the player’s character on the main menu and can be inspected while it develops. Reports say it later hatches into a chick that can grow into a full chicken.
