Twisha Sharma case: Dowry death charge dropped against Giribala Singh, bail hearing on October 8

Giribala Singh's bail petition has been appearing on the Madhya Pradesh High Court's cause list for the past 2 weeks or so. However due to the number and sequence of cases, the hearing kept getting postponed. Now the petition will be heard on October 8.

New Delhi: The Jabalpur Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court on Wednesday heard the bail plea of retired judge Giribala Singh, who is an accused in the very (in) famous Twisha Sharma death case. Sharma was the daughter-in-law of Giribala Singh. Twisha was a Bhopal-based actor and model and she died at her in-laws house in the city, under suspicious circumstances.

The case was heard by a single-judge bench of Justice Ajay Kumar Nirankari. In today’s hearing however, Giribala Singh did not get any relief as far as her bail application is concerned. However there were some major changes in the case, as far as the Sections under which Giribala has been booked.

When Giribala Singh’s bail application was initially filed, it included a charge related to dowry death.........
