Global Affairs Canada is claiming they played no role in a controversial decision to appoint Iran to a senior UN committee, despite official video showing Canadian diplomats doing precisely that.
At an April 8 meeting of the United Nations Economic and Social Council, Canada helped approve a motion for the Islamic Republic of Iran to be appointed to the UN’s Committee for Program and Coordination.
