Varun Poddar Redefining Indian Infrastructure: How VOX India and Poddar Pipes Are Modernising How India Builds

Varun Poddar is modernizing India's infrastructure from the ground up structural foundations to architectural design. A scion of the Ashirvad Pipes legacy, Varun founded  VOX India, bringing 36 years of European material engineering to India's building-materials market through sustainable, maintenance-free ceiling, wall, facade, and skirting systems across 300 cities. He has since expanded that industrial vision by launching Poddar Plumbing Systems (Poddar Pipes), delivering next-generation CPVC and UPVC water-distribution networks.

"The ceiling is the fifth wall of a room," he says, of VOX's category-ownership ambition in ceiling design, one half of a vision that spans everything from what runs beneath a building to what shapes the spaces above it. By linking heavy utility with visible architectural design, Poddar is modernizing India's infrastructure from the inside out, ensuring the country's rapid real estate growth is matched by longevity, safety, and sustainable design.
