The west-side pedestrian path that runs across the Bascule Bridge in Lowestoft had been shut for several months due to surface damage - but it has now finally reopened following repairs.

The closure, enforced by National Highways, caused frustration among residents and led to concerns about pedestrian safety, with reports of people walking in the road to cross the bridge.
