Row breaks out after leader claims millions wasted on Norfolk council contracts

County Hall's leader David Bick claims millions of pounds were wasted because of a lack of oversight by his Conservative predecessors.

Reform leader Mr Bick accused the former Tory administration of being "lazy, lethargic, incompetent and, at times, negligent" over the way contracts using taxpayers' money were managed.

The county council spends more than £900m every year on contracts, including one-off major projects such as the revamp of Norwich Castle and for contractors to provide services, such as social care, highways work and home to school transport for children.
