2 people sentenced to prison for threatening Mace’s life 

Two individuals received jail time on Tuesday for threatening Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.).

A federal judge in Indiana sentenced 28-year-old Shayla Addison to 27 months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release, after she pleaded guilty to two counts of influencing a federal official by threat.

The U.S. attorney’s office for the Southern District of Indiana did not identify Mace as the official Addison threatened, but the South Carolina lawmaker’s office noted she was the target in a Tuesday release. 

In January 2025, Addison sent multiple violent messages to Mace’s campaign phone number, campaign email address and her Instagram account. The messages included, “Come outside b—- we’ll kill you,” “We will kill you and blow that whole building up b—- come outside” and “Shut up hoe I’ll kill you,” according to Mace’s office and the Justice Department (DOJ).

Addison also has a history of threats against a Firehouse Subs restaurant where her ex-boyfriend worked and........
