SpaceX’s Starlink announced on February 5 that its satellite internet service is now available in Tajikistan, marking another expansion of global broadband access into one of Central Asia’s most digitally isolated countries.

The licensing agreement was signed in October 2025 at the Dushanbe Invest-2025 Forum between Starlink Tajikistan and the Communications Service under the Tajik government. The agreement prioritizes connecting residents in remote mountainous and border regions where traditional infrastructure has proven too costly or technically challenging to deploy.
