Two months of sappy holiday movies is too much
I apologize to all those who earn a living in producing a TV movie and all viewers who love them but I think we could do with a lot less schmaltzy Christmas movies.
Two months is too much.
I apologize to all those who earn a living in producing a TV movie and all viewers who love them but I think we could do with a lot less schmaltzy Christmas movies.
I am not a fan of the romantic, formulated offerings. I do have some favourite seasonal shows I look forward every year – How The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, Elf, animated Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer, A Christmas Carol in all its variations, Bells of St, Mary’s, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, The Miracle On… well, you get the idea, none of which I would consider sappy.
The almost daily holiday movies, which began running before Halloween, can be quite nauseating so being subjected to them for over two months is way, way too much. Thank goodness for hockey and re-runs.
I do wish the kindness, love, joy, camaraderie, hope, gratitude and generosity, which overtakes us at this........© Sarnia Observer
