You’re stepping into an adult-only community, and if you make a decision to relocate to such a neighborhood, it has the potential to reshape the next chapter of your life — in ways both wonderful and unexpected.

The allure of age-restricted neighborhoods is undeniable. To have someone else handle your home’s tedious exterior maintenance as well as the upkeep to common areas means the burden of yard work and a number of home repairs is gone from your life. In many such communities, social opportunities literally land in your lap through organized events and clubs. And depending on how large or small the neighborhood is, there may be amenities like pools, fitness centers, and golf courses that build in a social network.
