Fatah-4 test advances Pakistan’s missile capabilities
PAKISTAN has successfully test-fired the extended Fatah-4 ground-launched cruise missile, witnessed by senior military officers, scientists and engineers, with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Asim Munir and the services chiefs welcoming the achievement. Developed through indigenous cooperation between the National Engineering and Scientific Commission, Global Industrial Defence Solutions and the military, the original Fatah-4 was unveiled in August 2025 with a stated range of 750 kilometres, derived from the Babur platform.
It reportedly flies as low as 50 metres at Mach 0.7, using terrain masking and GPS/GNSS-aided inertial navigation with DSMAC terminal guidance to achieve five-metre accuracy despite satellite jamming. The extended variant features a potentially larger airframe and folding wings, suggesting an increased range and improvements in storage, transport, production and launch........
