Controversial school expansion approved...despite backing from just THREE councillors
Worried villagers had urged Norfolk County Council's planning committee to use "common sense" and reject County Hall's plans for a new two-classroom building which would enable Salhouse Primary School to take in an extra 60 pupils.
Education officials said the Cheyney Avenue school needed to expand, partly because of proposals for thousands of new homes in the Rackheath area, but also because of development which has already happened in Salhouse.
