New Delhi: The Samajwadi Party has decided against fielding a third candidate for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh despite party chief Akhilesh Yadav earlier saying that the SP would stake a claim to the seat.

With Tuesday marking the last day for filing nominations, the SP is now fielding just two candidates; all 10 candidates for the 10 Rajya Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh........
