New Delhi: Police personnel in Karnataka can now take leave on their birthdays and wedding anniversaries, following a new directive issued by the Director General of Police.

The circular, sent to units across the state, asks officers in charge to approve leave requests made for these occasions. The instruction applies to police personnel across ranks.
