Employer costs in providing medical insurance coverage to staff are set to rise more than 6 percent this year, extending a half-decade trend of strong annual increases. As a result, new business survey data shows most companies will once again pass along some of those higher healthcare expenses to employees in 2027 when new plans are rolled out, while also offering new options to limit the financial pinch on workers’ households.
