Splits Emerge In Reform Over Masked Anti-Migration Protesters

There are mixed messages coming from Nigel Farage and Zia Yusuf over the intimidating demonstrations.

Splits have erupted among Reform UK’s top team in response to the masked anti-migrant protests which erupted at the weekend.

Hundreds of men gathered in Dover on Saturday, dressed in all black and wearing balaclavas, to demonstrate against small boat arrivals. Their blockade brought the local port to a standstill but was largely peaceful, with no arrests.

Another protest erupted in Portsmouth on Sunday night, this time blocking coaches transporting around 120 asylum seekers to a processing centre after arriving from Normandy.

Approximately 200 people – again dressed in black, wearing face coverings – ended up being removed by the police with threat of arrest. A few officers suffered minor injuries and a handful of vehicles were damaged.
