Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra & Georgian State Choir perform “Requiem”

As part of the International Ankara Music Festival, the concert held on April 6, 2026 at CSO Ada Ankara (Ziraat Bank Main Hall) offered the audience a powerful and distinctive musical experience with Requiemby Vakhtang Kakhidze. The Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra and the Georgian State Choir performed under the baton of the composer himself, with chorus preparation by Archil Ushveridze.

Structured in 15 movements, the work preserves the traditional requiem form while successfully incorporating the rich textures of Georgian polyphonic singing.........
