RAF Barnham, on the Norfolk and Suffolk border near Thetford, is one of several Ministry of Defence sites under consideration by the Home Office to help reduce reliance on hotel accommodation.

The proposal also includes other bases in Bicester in Oxfordshire and Linton-on-Ouse in North Yorkshire.
