Fresh protests expected over plans to house asylum seekers at RAF base

RAF Barnham, in west Suffolk, has been identified by the Home Office as a site to house asylum seekers as part of a national drive to move people out of hotels and onto larger sites.

The plan has faced strong opposition from local authorities and homeowners, who have raised concerns about the impact on the community, local services, and infrastructure.

West Suffolk Council has publicly stated that RAF Barnham is “the wrong site”........
