Celebrity panto searching for local woman to play leading Christmas role

G&S Productions and Stargate Entertainment are on the hunt for a performer to play a leading role in its Christmas panto of Beauty and the Beast at the Britannia Pier Theatre in Great Yarmouth this December.

The entertainment company is looking for a talented young woman from Norfolk to play Belle in the panto, which will be headlined by pop superstar Gareth Gates.

Brian Graves, who is joint director of G&S Productions Limited alongside his partner Andrew Steed, said: "The magic now begins. The search is officially on.

"We are searching for the perfect Belle. She has got to be able to sing, dance and act.

"She has got to be someone with an amazing voice and someone who can tap."

G&S Productions are looking for a woman between the age of 18 and 30 to play the starring role, with auditions to be held between April 13 and 15.

To be in with a chance of playing the role, send a CV, photograph and showreel to office@gandsproductions.com.

If successful, you will progress to the auditions stage, which Gareth will be involved with, and receive an email specifying the auditions venue and your timeslot.

The entertainment company has also announced that it has secured a £10,000 donation from Kfoley McDonald's Great Yarmouth Restaurants to help support SENCO children and children from disadvantaged backgrounds attend the panto.

In addition, Brian Graves, Andy Steed and Gareth Gates will also be donating 300 seats to enable SENCO and children from disadvantaged backgrounds come to the panto.

Schools are also being encouraged to book tickets as Gareth Gates will come to one lucky school and talk about how he overcame adversity and bullying to become a major success.
