Support for banking hub ramps up amid 'significant disadvantage' fears for locals
Fakenham was identified by ATM network Link as having "some deficiency in cash access services".
Multiple banks have closed down over the years, with only Nationwide in the town's Market Place remaining.
Link's assessment concluded that a hub was not needed, instead suggesting "increased capacity at an assisted cash service".
But North Norfolk District Council has urged the network to reconsider its decision.
