The rich maritime heritage of Britain's most easterly town will see the first Lowestoft Maritime Festival take centre stage in August.

And organisers of this special one-day event said it promises to be a day steeped in East Anglian pride.

The historic South Pier and South Quay in Lowestoft will become a vibrant hub of nautical nostalgia as community spirit and family fun runs from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, August 29.

As well as being a spectacular day out for all ages, it will also raise funds to help secure the future of three of Lowestoft’s most treasured........
