Confirming she left the UEA in 2024, a spokesperson said: “We are very saddened to hear of the death of a former member of staff. Our thoughts are with her family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time."
Ms Coe worked as a research administrator at UEA for 11 years, having joined the university in 2015 as an energy officer. Prior to that, she had worked as a carbon and utilities coordinator at Aviva.
She graduated with a degree in environmental sciences in 2010 and is also believed to have given birth during September last year.
An inquest into her death was opened at Norfolk Coroner’s Court on Thursday, where a post mortem examination gave her medical cause of death as hanging.
Opening the hearing, assistant coroner Robin Weyell said Ms Coe's body had been found at her home address and had been formally identified by her father Scott Coe.

Police said they had been called to the property, a bungalow in Priory Road, shortly before 2pm. They confirmed the death was not being treated as suspicious.
Mr Weyell said the court would need to obtain further information from Norfolk Police, Ms Coe’s GP and the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust before the inquest could proceed.
The hearing was adjourned after Mr Weyell invited family to provide a pen portrait of Ms Coe.
A full hearing was listed for 10am on Friday, August 14 and is expected to last six hours.
