'Visually intrusive' shipping containers installed without planning consent can stay

West Norfolk Council has agreed retrospective plans for 20 units on land at West Dereham, near Downham Market.

Planning papers say they were installed on the site on Station Road in 2020.

West Dereham Parish Council objected, describing the development as "harmful to the landscape character of the area" and "visually intrusive."

It also raised concerns about road safety, saying Station Road and Basil Road were narrow, largely single-track routes with limited passing........
