A new initiative that provides employers with a framework to support employees who are impacted by cancer is augmenting efforts to promote healthy workplaces and education about the disease.

The Canadian Cancer and Work Charter aims to support employers with workers living with cancer, caring for someone with cancer or returning to work after treatment. The charter includes four main themes, including supporting an employee’s return to work, education, promotion of health and wellness and continuous improvement of cancer coverage and policies in the workplace.
