New Delhi: Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Thursday (September 24) demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar Gupta within 48 hours due to the ongoing controversy surrounding Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls adding that a nationwide protest would be launched in case he did not resign.

“If within 48 hours Gyanesh Kumar doesn’t resign, the Cockroach Janata Party will start a nationwide agitation. We won’t step back till the time Gyanesh Kumar resigns,” the CJP founder added. He was accompanied by the outfit’s co-conveners Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka.
