A special correspondent of the London “Times” has been touring the Irish Free State in search of facts relating to present-day conditions there; much of what he wrote in yesterday’s issue applies to the position of affairs in the Six Counties rural districts.

“The decreasing purchasing power of the British consumer, owing to industrial depression and industrial unrest is (the correspondent says) shown by the steadily-decreasing exports and the increasing adverse balance of trade.
