Guthrie family’s $500K donation aims to help other missing cases
(NewsNation) — “Today” show co-host Savannah Guthrie and her family are donating $500,000 to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) as the search for her 84-year-old mother Nancy Guthrie approaches the one-month mark.
“We are hoping that the attention that has been given to our mom and our family will extend to all the families like ours,” the NBC host wrote in an Instagram post.
Callahan Walsh, the organization’s executive director, told NewsNation Live’s Marni Hughes — host of “Missing” on NewsNation — that the Guthrie family understands there are countless other missing cases that do not receive national attention. He said the donation is intended to help shine a light on those families still waiting for answers.
