Middle class vs. inflation: Where are people surviving?

(NEXSTAR) – Inflation looks to be heating up again. As gas prices spike, so have the cost of many other consumer goods, and inflation is back up above 4%. Price growth has also started outpacing wage growth for the first time in three years.

Rising prices since 2020 have made it a tough period for middle-class families. Over the past five years, the average national inflation rate has been 4.8%, according to finance site MoneyLion.
