Switching to Novo Nordisk's weight loss pill helped people keep shedding pounds

A real-world study of 194 patients found those who switched to the daily pill lost an average of 8.8 pounds over 3 months

Novo Nordisk announced real-world data on Wednesday showing that adults with obesity or overweight who switched from injectable weight loss drugs to its daily Wegovy pill continued shedding pounds over the following three months.

The study, called OCTANE, tracked 194 patients enrolled in the Ro telehealth platform who moved from either Novo's Wegovy injection or Eli Lilly $LLY's Zepbound to once-daily oral semaglutide. Over that three-month window, participants who remained on the pill shed an average........
