Black Ops 7 brings 'FOMO events to reward the unemployed' back to Call of Duty
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 1 launched Dec. 4, and the community is not happy with one of the returning features from Black Ops 6. Being dubbed as "another FOMO event to reward the unemployed," at least by one Reddit user, this is a Zombies-focused event that simply has players climb a leaderboard based on how many challenges they complete in the timeframe.
"Earn rewards when the event ends based on your final leaderboard position," reads the description in-game. "Additional rewards can be earned by completing challenges during the event." There are four tasks players can complete, on repeat, to earn points:
All fairly simple stuff, right? Problem is, players "with a job and life outside of Call of Duty", to quote the original Reddit post linked above, are complaining because those who have the time to grind and spend hours upon hours each day racking up the points will run away with the top rewards, while anyone who can only fit in playtime around their other obligations will struggle to compete.
