Community members are invited to volunteer for the Trees 4 Peterborough Community Tree Planting Event that takes place in Northcrest Ward at Heritage Park, 560 Settlers Ridge on Saturday, Sept, 26 beginning at 10 a.m.

Come out and help plant approximately 500 native trees. Your effort will help expand Peterborough’s urban forest by creating continuous tree cover along Riverview Creek in Heritage Park. 

“Trees 4 Peterborough has made a tremendous difference in strengthening our urban forest and creating greener, healthier spaces across our city. This fall’s tree planting at Heritage Park is another wonderful example of how this program brings people together to make improvements in our neighbourhoods,” said Coun. Lesley Parnell, Trees 4 Peterborough founder. 

This event is made possible through the support of RBC Wealth Management, which has partnered with Peterborough GreenUP to co-ordinate the event. Donations and support for the event include a $10,000 donation from RBC Wealth Management, a $5,000 donation from The Excelsior Group, lunch provided by East Side Mario’s, and equipment provided by Merrett Home Hardware.
