'Thames Water has had a stinker of a week - could it sink any lower?'
AS far as bad weeks go, Thames Water has had a stinker.
Just this week, it announced a hosepipe ban on Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas, revealed an annual loss of £1.65 billion while its debt swells to £16.79 billion and dealt with, surprise surprise, yet more burst water pipes.
Somehow, Thames Water has sunk its already shattered reputation further into oblivion, where it seems everybody is in agreement that they dislike, no, hate, the company.
Our bills are all going up, rivers continue to be polluted and you can't drive to the shop anymore without having to take a diversion because a pipe has burst and the road has closed.
