The sight of an e-scooter or an e-bike dumped on the streets of Nottingham is becoming one of the city's must-see attractions. Just like a trip to Nottingham Castle and a pint in The Trip, tourists have not truly seen all Nottingham has to offer until they stumble on one of these vehicles flung in the middle of the pavement as if it were a McDonald's bag.

Leaving all jokes aside, it is quite understandably becoming an increasing point of annoyance for those living, working and studying in Nottingham's city centre. When seeing either the bright blue scooters or vivid green bikes out of place and in the way, the instinctive reaction is often to blame the companies operating them.

To a degree, these operators absolutely should be taking responsibility for their vehicles being dumped all over our city. Yet I feel we have now reached the limit of what these operators can realistically do.
