Ryan Fisher, 42, was charged with a malicious communications offence over the voice messages, in which he called her a "fat b***h".

He also asked whether she was down the gym "working off that gut of yours".

Norwich Crown Court was told the couple, who have a child together, had been in an on-off relationship since May 2021.

Jude Durr, prosecuting, said following their break-up Fisher sent the woman a number of "vile messages" after accusing her of wanting to sleep with other people.

The prosecutor said the victim was "bombarded" by a number of voice messages referring to her as a "fat b***h" and asking whether she was down the gym "working off that gut of yours".
